Access hires Chief Technology Officer

Access Communications have named Rob Bazilewich as their new chief technology officer. He began June 16.

Access Communications have named Rob Bazilewich as their new chief technology officer.

He began June 16. According to the news release announcing the appointment, Bazilewich is in charge of leading the "future technology vision for the co-operative," as well as "overseeing technical operations and technology infrastructure to deliver a reliable and responsive network, cable, telephone and Internet service."

His experience includes over two decades of experience in radio and TV broadcast operations and engineering. He was at Westman Communications Group in Brandon, Man. as chief technology officer, where he launched their Next Generation platform for TV, phone and Internet as well as a managed telephone service.

Access Communications is a Saskatchewan-owned co-operative serving 220 communities in the province including both North Battleford and Battleford.

In a statement, Jim Deane, CEO and president, welcomed the hire of Bazilewich.

"Rob brings a tremendous amount of experience and leadership within the cable industry to Access," said Deane. "We are thrilled to welcome Rob on board to lead our technical operations and technology deployments."
