• ALS Ice bucket challenge gone wrong. Police called to a hotel in the city shortly after 9 a.m. about an intoxicated and agitated man causing a scene and claiming he'd been assaulted by the occupants of one of the rooms. Several witnesses spoken to, and it turned out the intoxicated male had wanted to complete the ice bucket challenge and convinced a couple people to dump a bucket of ice water on him. Two problems. Nobody remembered to video tape it and secondly, it turned out to be really cold which made the man angry so they kicked him out of the room. Checks revealed the man to be on several conditions, including not to consume alcohol, so his day got worse and he was arrested and is now facing two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

• A 46-year-old man was arrested and is facing charges of break and enter, resisting arrest and failing to comply with an undertaking after a call of a break and enter in progress at a residence on the 1000 block of 109th Street at 7:50 p.m. The accused was reported to be attempting to force his way into an apartment and was located on scene by responding members. He remains in custody and will make his first appearance in provincial court Thursday.

• Police are investigating a report of an assault at a residence on the 2100 block of 102nd Crescent. It is reported that an unknown woman attended to a residence shortly after 10 p.m. and entered the home uninvited before attempting to assault the occupants of the home. The occupants were able to quickly subdue the woman who then left prior to police arrival. The suspect may have been injured in the incident, Neither complainant was injured, however. The investigation is still continuing.
