The storm that blew through the region June 26-27 did some major damage around a nearby village.
The Village of Annaheim saw a lot of destruction.
A lot of trees were blown over and damage was done to some buildings in the area, explained Mayor Don Willenborg.
He said he knew a great number of trees fell in the village, but he was unsure of how much havoc the storm did in Annaheim itself.
"There are some rumours of damage to buildings," said Willenborg.
Outside of the village, on nearby farms and acreages, the owners saw more of the storm's effects.
Don Crone was in his house when the storm hit his yard.
He explained the wind knocked over about 40 trees in his yard, including eight to nine of his large 40-foot spruce trees.
"It moved a 20 by 40 foot shed - the side walls were moving," said Crone.
The aftermath was devastating.
"She's a mess," said Crone. "It's terrible - how am I going to clean it up? Some of those trees were 40 feet high. They were planted in 1961."
Ashley Klashinsky also reported devastation due to the storm in her yard.
She did not see the effects of the storm until later, as she was in Humboldt when it hit.
Klashinsky explained on the way home, she saw numerous trees down and more damage when she reached her own home.
"There were lots of trees around the perimeter knocked down," said Klashinsky.
Luckily, there was no damage to her house, but they are unsure if there was harm done to other buildings in the yard.
"It was mostly our yard... some trees are laying on our shop and quonset buildings," said Klashinsky.
