Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 15 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 16.
Among those calls were four false alarms, three traffic related complaints, two nuisance/false 911 calls and one noise complaint.
Tuesday
10:41 a.m. - Report of a number of individuals drinking at an abandoned building on 101st Street. Subjects located near area dispersed.
3:40 p.m. - Report of people causing a disturbance downtown. Three individuals, a 44-year-old woman, a 44-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, were all arrested for public intoxication.
5:33 p.m. - Report of intoxicated youth on 109th Street. Subject located and turned over to ambulance for care then later turned over to mother.
553 p.m. - 43-year-old man arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with probation and failing to comply with an undertaking, A 40-year-old woman arrested and charged with three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking after a 911 call to a residence on St Laurent Drive of a loud argument between two individuals. Both are to appear in court on Wednesday, April 16.
7:14 p.m. - 14-year-old youth reported missing from a youth group home. Located by members a short time later and returned.
7:45 p.m. - North Battleford RCMP are investigating a report of a possible child abduction on Carlton Trail at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15. An eight-year-old child was approached at the aquatic centre by a man who asked the child to go somewhere with him. The man is alleged to have attempted to grab the child at one point when the child did not comply, then left the area in a vehicle. The assailant has been described as aboriginal, with a ponytail, glasses and wearing black swim trunks. The area and building was immediately searched by members upon receiving the report, but no suspects were located. Surveillance was reviewed, however, at this point no suspects/additional information has been attained. Further surveillance footage is to be reviewed today. Wednesday
1:17 a.m. - 20-year-old woman arrested and facing charges of care and control while impaired and care and control while over .08 after a single vehicle collision involving a tree near 97th Street and 20th Avenue. She has since been released from custody and will make her first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 5 at 2 p.m.
3:15 a.m. - 23-year-old man arrested and facing charges of impaired driving and driving over .08 after a vehicle stop on 110th Street.
