Arrests for outstanding warrants, breach of probation

Battlefords RCMP responded to 33 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Police arrested one person for an alcohol related offence and responded to three nuisance 911 calls, three disturbance complaints, three alarms, one child welfare investigation, four traffic investigations, one minor collision, one bylaw complaint and one person reported missing, who has since been located.

Tuesday

• Report made that sometime over the previous evening or early morning hours, someone dumped garbage cans and damaged downspouts at a four-plex on 104th Street.

• At 10:34 a.m. received a report of a male suspect in a shoplifting complaint at the Frontier Mall.  Suspect described as Caucasian, 5'3", wearing a green hat and a black windbreaker.  Fled scene in a black car.

• At 11:20 a.m. called to a residence on the 1700 block of 101st Street after report of a youth at residence causing a disturbance.  A 17-year-old female arrested for outstanding warrants.  Since released from custody and taken to a new location to prevent further problems.

• 34-year-old man arrested for outstanding warrants after a 911 call to a residence on Trudeau Street at 3:30 p.m. reporting a disturbance. Subject later released after served with a new court date.

• Complaint made at approximately 7 p.m. of harassing phone message being received by complainant from an ex. Statements attained and an investigation still ongoing.

• Shoplifting reported at 7:18 p.m. from a business on the 1700 block of 100th Street. 

• Call received at 8:43 p.m. of a man and woman who appeared to be struggling with each other on the 700 block of 108th Street. Both drove away in a black two-door car.  Vehicle was not located and no further complaints received. Investigation continuing.

• Check on a youth curfew at 10:31 p.m., 16-year-old not at approved residence during required time now facing one count of breach of probation. Remains at large.
