The father of the man serving a life sentence for the murder two RCMP officers is in some legal trouble of his own.
Art Dagenais, father of convicted killer Curt Dagenais, was arrested and taken into custody last week. He appeared in Prince Albert both last Friday and again Tuesday.
The charges against Art are connected to a recent visit to the Prince Albert penitentiary to visit his son. That visit took place while Art's visiting privileges were suspended.
Art was arrested and charged with mischief and with unsafe storage of ammunition. He was back in court Tuesday in Prince Albert and was released on bail. Art is due to return to court later this month.
His son Curt is currently serving a 25-year life sentence for the murder of two RCMP officers and the attempted murder of a third officer on a road outside Spiritwood in 2006.
