Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 50 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Tuesday

• 6:36 a.m.: A 29-year-old man is being charged with one count of assault after a complaint of an unwanted man who attended a residence on the 200 block of 29th Street shortly after 6:30 a.m. The man was demanding property and is alleged to have assaulted a woman at the residence during the altercation. The parties involved are known to each other.

• 9:11 a.m.: Report of a stolen vehicle from the 1800 block of 98th Street. Believed to have been taken some time between 7 and 8:40 a.m. Vehicle was recovered by police later the same date. Investigation is still ongoing.

• 2:05 p.m.: Report made of a break and enter to a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Some electronics reported missing.

• 11:42 p.m.: Police called to a residence on the 1600 block of 100th Street reporting a very intoxicated woman was at the residence and was refusing to leave. A 44-year-old woman was arrested on scene and is now facing one charge of mischief.

Wednesday

• 12:40 a.m.: Green 1998 Honda Civic with Saskatchewan licence 397JCU reported stolen from the 1100 block of 108th Street.

• 1:10 a.m.: 39-year-old man arrested and facing a charge of breach of probation after a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance on the 900 block of 102nd Street. 

Police also responded to four false 911 calls, one animal complaint, six disturbances, two child welfare concerns, seven traffic complaints, three alarms, two Mental Health Act investigations, one bylaw matter and three minor collisions. Six persons were also arrested for offences relating to public intoxication.
