An 18-year-old man is in police custody following an RCMP investigation of an assault with a weapon in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
RCMP say a man was assaulted by several individuals at a home on the 1400 block of 111th Street. Perpetrators fled the area, but with the assistance of the Police Dog Unit one man was located and arrested.
The victim of the assault is currently being treated in hospital with what Battlefords RCMP say is a suspected stab wound to the torso. Police say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
