Battlefords RCMP responded to 67 calls for service over the time period Wednesday Sept. 6, 6 a.m. – Thursday Sept. 7, 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:
7:52 a.m. Police responded to a complaint of Break and Enter to a residence in North Battleford. Investigation revealed that the renter of the residence had broken the window herself and was attempting to claim a false break and enter. The 27-year old female from North Battleford was subsequently arrested and charged with public mischief and breaching her curfew condition under the Criminal Code.
8:00 p.m. Police attended to an Assault with Weapon complaint in the town of Battleford. A 24 year old male had pulled a knife and threatened two of his family members with it. The male was taken into custody without incident and there were no injuries involved. The male is facing two charges of assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.
11:20 p.m. Police followed up with a curfew check on a young person in North Battleford. The youth was not abiding by his curfew and was subsequently charged with breaching an undertaking.
11:28 p.m. Police followed up with another curfew check on a young person in North Battleford. The youth was not abiding by his curfew and was subsequently charged with breaching an undertaking.
Police responded to 63 other calls for service including Provincial and Criminal Code Statutes
Police would like to remind people that are on conditions through the courts or the police that they need to abide by those conditions. Police will be following up and checking on them and if they are breaching they will face additional charges and possible jail time.
