Battlefords RCMP responded to 257 calls for service over the time period July 1, 6 a.m., to July 4, 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:
7:20 a.m. Report of an intoxicated male banging on doors and windows of a residence on the 1600 block of 102nd St which did not belong to him, home owner phoned and police arrived to arrest male.
11:04 a.m. Report of an assault with a weapon that occurred on the 1600 block of 101st Street, male was attacked in his bed by a female acquaintance with what appeared to be a baseball bat. Minor injuries sustained by male.
There were many calls attended by police on the highways in regards to alcohol and driving related offences. Police responded to 255 other calls for service including Provincial and Criminal Code Statutes.
