Hit and runs aren't so unusual in the Battlefords - but when the victim is the leader of the Liberal Party in Saskatchewan it is.

Provincial leader Ryan Bater said his vehicle was smashed up in a hit-and-run on the evening of Sept. 15..

Bater used his Twitter account to let his followers know about the incident. In a message on Twitter posted around noon Thursday, he said he "was the victim of a hit and rwun on my vehicle last night. Smashed! Thanks to RCMP who saw it, took evidence, and called me before I even knew."
