As of Monday, building permits have been issued for 19 new single family homes in Battleford and options to purchase have been taken out on five of the 32 Battle Springs subdivision lots for sale.
In addition, building permits have also been taken out on a 24-unit apartment complex worth $5.6 million, two industrial truck storage buildings worth $90,000 and $120,000, and a metal tank fabrication plant worth $6.7 million, bringing the total value of permits issued to date to almost $19 million.
Battleford town councillors were smiling Monday as they reviewed the building permit reports, authorized four new options to purchase and approved eight residential builders incentive program requests and two commercial/industrial incentives.
