The Town of Battleford has announced it is closing access to all of its offices effective Monday, March 23.

The reason, according to their news release, is to protect the town’s staff and the public from the spread of COVID-19. Normal services will be carried out with modifications, and the public is urged to call the relevant department with your request or 306-937-6200.

The following information is from that news release:

For those who need to meet in person with someone from the town, you are urged to call 306-937-6200 to make an appointment. It will be made after confirming that you do not have any influenza-like symptoms and have not been out of province in the past 14 days, and the meeting will occur in a room in which social distancing can be practised.

Many of the forms the town uses are online and more will be available in the coming days. The town is urging residents to use those and drop them off at the south door through the mail slot.

If Utilities is asked to inspect something in your residence, you will be asked to clean the area they are inspecting and remain more than two metres away from employees at all times.

At this time utility bills and property taxes are not due.

If you are experiencing economic hardship due to COVID-19, please contact the Town Hall at 306-937-6200 to talk with someone about your account.
