Update: Battlefords RCMP Weekly Report: Two missing persons located

THE BATTLEFORDS — Battlefords RCMP responded to 460 calls for service from Wednesday, Nov. 10 through Tuesday, Nov. 16.

• Four missing persons reported. .

- Upate - Located: Autumn Dillon, 25, reported missing at 4 p.m. on Nov. 16. Last seen on the 1000 block of 107th Street in North Battleford. She was wearing a blue shirt, yellow pants, white socks and has a shaved head. She is approximately 5’6”, thin build with brown eyes. She is originally from the Lloydminster area. 

- Upate - Located: Josaiha Chickosis is still missing. There have been some unconfirmed sightings in and around the North Battleford area. He is believed to be actively evading the police in efforts to locate him.

• 20 assault investigations.

- A 17-year-old youth was arrested and facing charges after a report of an assault at a residence on 114th Street in North Battleford shortly after 11 a.m. on Nov. 16. A 16-year-old victim sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment. The accused has been charged with assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats, and has been since released from custody on conditions of no contact with the victim. The accused and victim are known to each other.

- Report of an incident of suspected child abuse on the Nov. 16 shortly before 3 p.m. at a residence in the city of North Battleford. A child was found to have suspicious minor injuries which an investigation showed were the result of an assault. A 26-year-old male was later arrested and has been charged with one count of assault. His first court appearance is set for Dec. 13.

- Police were called to a residence on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford on the Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. for a report of an assault. Upon arrival the victim, in her 20s, was found to have injuries to her face and head and reported being assaulted by a 19-year-old male known to her, and threatened with a knife. The accused had already fled the scene when police arrived but was located shortly after 5 p.m. at another residence in the city. The accused was taken into custody after struggling with police and was held in custody until his first appearance in Provincial Court on Friday Nov. 12. The suspect is facing numerous charges including assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon.

Report of an assault at a residence on the 1800 block of 93rd Street in North Battleford on Nov. 13 shortly after noon. It was reported a male suspect had attended a residence while on conditions to remain away from the victim. While there he damaged property in the home, assaulted the victim and then killed a one-month old pet rabbit by allegedly throwing the rabbit against a wall. The accused was later located and arrested and appeared in court on Monday Nov. 15 on charges of assault with a weapon, assault, resisting arrest, mischief to property, failing to comply with release order conditions and injuring/endangering the life of an animal. 

• Four break and enter investigations.

• Vehicle thefts.

- 27-year-old male from Spiritwood arrested and charged with possession of stolen property after recovery of a stolen vehicle on the Saulteaux First Nation on Nov. 11 at 4:30 p.m.

- A 28-year-old man is charged with theft of a motor vehicle after the theft of a vehicle reported on Nov. 15 shortly after 9:30 p.m. on the Sweetgrass First Nation. Vehicle was recovered in Delmas in the early afternoon of Nov. 16. The accused was to make his first appearance in Provincial Court on Nov. 17. 

- Grey 2013 Ford F150 with Saskatchewan plate 573 KTP reported stolen from a residence on the Red Pheasant First Nation on the early afternoon of Nov. 11.

- White 2011 GMC Sierra with Saskatchewan license 412MGE reported stolen some time between Nov. 6 and Nov. 11 from the 1000 block of 107th Street in North Battleford.

• 21 Mental Health Act investigations.

• 19 Traffic Collisions.

• Three individuals charged with impaired driving.

• 88 various traffic charges.

On Nov. 14 shortly after 8:30 p.m., police located a vehicle on the Highway 16 Bypass in North Battleford which was believed to have been involved in a previous complaint involving several traffic infractions. During the investigation police located and seized a number of weapons including a baton, handcuffs and a BB gun, which had been modified to look like a real firearm. A 20-year-old woman and a 46-year-old male were arrested and charged with a number of weapons offences. Both have since been released and are set to make their first appearances in North Battleford court on Dec. 20.
