Between 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, Battlefords RCMP received approximately 60 calls for service.
in the noted time period, including:
Monday, Aug. 24
• There is an ongoing investigation in regard to a break and enter that occurred at a business on Mosquito First Nation at 6:09 a.m.
• There was a break and enter to a garage reported on Cardinal Crescent that happened sometime during the day.
• A vehicle was reported stolen from Mosquito First Nation and it was located on Red Pheasant First Nation after a complaint was made of a vehicle on fire. Both calls came in around 4 p.m.
• A theft was reported from a residence on the 1800 block of 101st Street at 10:19 p.m. and the incident is still being investigated.
• Officers attended a residence on the 1100 block of 107th Street in response to a complaint of an assault involving bear spray at 10:36 p.m. No one was seriously injured during the incident and it is still being investigated.
• Four women have been arrested and charged with robbery after a 911 call from a business in Meota at 11:25 p.m. The four women were held in custody and have already appeared in court in relation to the charges.
Tuesday, Aug. 25
• Close to 5 a.m., there was a report of an attempted theft at a business on the 1700 block of 100th Street. One male youth and one 18-year-old male were charged with robbery. The youth was also charged with assaulting a police officer and for failing to comply with conditions of his probation order. Both were held in custody and have already appeared in court on the matter.
• Someone called to report that they had gotten into a fight with their brother over beer at 5:39 a.m. on Douglas Avenue. The siblings both lived at the residence and they agreed to go to bed for the night and there were no further issues.
• An officer stopped a vehicle that was driving erratically on 13th Avenue at 5:50 a.m. The driver was an intoxicated 20-year-old woman and she was charged with impaired driving.
• There was a report of a smashed window at a residence on Clark Drive that occurred during the night.
In addition, there were three people arrested for alcohol-related offences, there were nine disturbances reported, two minor collisions, seven traffic complaints, two nuisance 911 calls and one false alarm.
