The Bjorkdale public library is hosting “art camp” this week featuring many local artists. All of the classes for kids 18 years and under are free and there are many options to choose from. Many have already registered for this fun learning experience at the library.

The notice for the annual meeting of the Shand Creek Conservation and Development will be held at the Quilly's Community Place (former Elementary School) at 302 Pine Street, Porcupine Plain on Monday, April 25 at 8 p.m.

With the approval of a Veteran Affairs Canada grant, the Village of Bjorkdale is proceeding with the purchasing of more than 20 banners that will be displayed in for a month at Remembrance Day. Anyone who contacted the Village office to reserve a banner for their veteran should get a good quality photo to Nicole. Once all photos are received, the order will be placed. Thank you in advance to all the people who were initially interested in honouring their Veterans.

The sun is shinning and we are all hopeful that spring is upon us. After this Easter weekend, many gave thanks to all the family and friends they were able to see and gather with. Gardens are on many peoples minds as I see my office start to fill up with starter pepper plants. As the tiny green leaf grows, I can’t wait to put it into the ground. Hope to have more news next week.
