A long-time Bjorkdale resident obviously had some luck on his side. Richard Nakonieczny purchased a Saskatoon Hospital Home Lottery 50/50 ticket and was the lucky number drawn and took home a whopping $682,862.50. Congratulations on the big win.

Dawson Kehrig and the Tisdale under 13AA lost the provincial final on April 6 in Nipawin against the Swift Current Bronco’s. They tied the series but unfortunately could not come out on top losing 5-2. Great season Dawson.

If anyone knows me, they know I come from Hudson Bay. Many locals like to joke with me about my Hudson Bay heritage. Obviously, its because they know how wonderful our town and people are. Another thing people know about me, is that I enjoy snowmobiling. Hudson Bay is currently in the semi-finals in the SledTown ShowDown. Currently Hudson Bay is up against Swan Hills, Alta. You can go online and vote every day from April 5 to 17.

The Cornerstone Credit Union is hosting their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, April 12 at 5:15 p.m. At the AGM, you will hear directly from the Board of Directors and CEO with an update on how the credit union is performing.
