The Blaine Lake InVigor Drive-In is part of the company's pilot program, where six communities across the prairies enjoy a quality 'family night out.' The free drive-in or outdoor movie nights include a feature movie and kids' activities like bouncy castles, face painting and a ferris wheel. Blaine Lake's event also featured performances by local bands, The Barrelmen and Guy and The Fellas.

There was also a $10,000 cheque ceremony from Bayer CropScience to the Blaine Lake community to help build a new playground.

The family night was planned to show appreciation to Canadian farmers and their families for making InVigor the leading canola seed brand.

Other communities chosen for the InVigor Drive-In movie night were Glenboro, Man., Killam and Trochu, Alta., and, in Saskatchewan, Avonlea and Quill Lake.
