Unity RCMP are advising motorists not to travel in the Unity area at this time due to visibility being reduced to zero in some areas. Winds, blowing snow, and heavy drifting are occurring on the highways which has resulted in a vehicle becoming stuck on Highway 14 approximately 3km east of Unity. The vehicle has since been struck by a semi. Unity RCMP members are on scene assisting with traffic and the tow crew. Again, RCMP are not recommending travel in the Unity district at this time due to blizzard conditions. F Division is also issuing advisories sayingtravel around North Battleford and west to the border is not advised and some highways are closed at this time. please check with local radio reports and dept of hwys hotline (http://hotline.gov.sk.ca/)before travelling.
