'Borrowed' bicycle reported stolen

More than 30 calls for service were made to the North Battleford RCMP between 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 and 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8.


More than 30 calls for service were made to the North Battleford RCMP between 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 and 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8.


In those calls, there were two traffic complaints, one false alarm, four municipal bylaw or noise complaints, three false or nuisance 911 calls and two calls relating to child welfare or custody.


Thursday


10:40 a.m. - Report of attempted shoplifting at a business. Suspects fled and left items behind. Patrols for suspects negative.


1:03 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person in a downtown back alley. A man was arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until sober.


1:16 p.m. - Report of fraud. Investigation ongoing.


1:26 p.m. - Intoxicated man located while members on patrols in the city. The man was arrested for public intoxication and for outstanding warrants. Held in custody until sober.


2:52 p.m. - Report of a tire slashed on a vehicle during the previous night while parked on the street. 


2:30 p.m. - Intoxicated woman located while members doing patrols in the city. She was arrested and charged for public intoxication. Held in custody until sober.


2:36 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated man causing problems at a business. Male suspect had left before members arrived. Patrols to locate the male were negative.


3:53 p.m. - Report of shoplifting from a city business. A male youth was arrested for theft. The youth suspect was held until being released to a parent with a court date to appear on one count of theft under $5,000. Investigation ongoing.


4:01 p.m. - Report of three people causing problems on a downtown street. Patrols resulted in two individuals being identified and checked. Warning issued and individuals were sent on their way.


4:37 p.m. - Report of a stolen bicycle. Bicycle was returned the following day by the parent of the youth that "borrowed" the bike. Owner of the bicycle did not want to pursue charges.


5:14 p.m. - Report of theft of some furniture items during the two hours previous from the display area in front of a downtown business. Investigation ongoing.


6:30 p.m. - Report of an assault. Investigation resulted in a man being arrested and later released with conditions and a date for future appearance in court.


7:53 p.m. - Report of an unknown intoxicated woman sitting on the front steps of a residence. Patrols to locate subject were negative.


Friday


12:11 a.m. - Report of a disturbance at a downtown business. An intoxicated man was arrested for causing a disturbance and held in custody until sober to prevent any further incidents.


2:33 a.m. - Report of a cellular phone being stolen. Investigation ongoing.


3:02 a.m. - Report of an intoxicated woman lying on the road. She was located and arrested for public intoxication. Held in custody until sober.


3:10 a.m. - Report of people causing a disturbance in a residential neighbourhood. Patrols made were negative.


5:09 a.m. - Report of a break and enter in progress at a business. Investigation ongoing.
