Battlefords RCMP responded to 40 calls for service over the time period July 10, 6 a.m., to July 11th, 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:
8:36 p.m. Police called to an assault on the 1600 block of 101 St. in North Battleford. Taxi had attended to pick up two adult males. When confirming funds for the ride the driver of the taxi was assaulted by one of the males. The taxi driver did not suffer any major injuries. Both subjects located by police, arrested and one of them was charged accordingly.
4:00 a.m. Police called to a break and enter on the 1300 block of 104st. in North Battleford. On arrival Police located a number of residents inside the house and that the suspects had fled the scene. Two of the adult male residents had been assaulted; one had suffered a small stab wound and was subsequently transported to hospital by ambulance. The injuries were not life threatening. Investigation is still underway.
