Break-in at church on Onion Lake

Onion Lake RCMP has issued a news release requesting the public’s assistance in connection to a break and enter to a church on the reserve.

According to their release, on Aug. 18 Onion Lake RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on the Onion Lake First Nation.

According to police a shop operated by the church called Cree-ations, was broken into between Saturday, Aug. 15 and Monday, Aug. 17. A window was smashed out, and several items were stolen including pictures, a vintage baby-blue-colored hair dryer, and also some traditional First Nation beadwork.
