A minor crash in the northbound lane of the Battlefords Bridge tied up traffic for a short time Thursday morning.
North Battleford Fire Department assisted at the site of the crash at about 8:45 a.m. An NBFD press release indicates a driver lost control of their vehicle due to icy conditions. According to firefighters the driver was not injured, but the vehicle had to be towed.
Firefighters were called to investigate a strange odour in a home at 1628 MacKenzie King Cres. Thursday at about 9:45 p.m. It was determined the non-toxic odour was caused by a furnace malfunction. NBFD reports a plumber was called to check into the problem.
