The Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Stryde Contracting and Lift Leadership Coaching is bringing a unique opportunity to Humboldt with the Life to Lead leadership workshop coming to town on March 28.
Lift to Lead is a, “half-day, leader development simulcast experience designed to equip you with new perspectives, practical tools and key takeaways.”
Stefani Block, of Stryde Contracting, says this is an opportunity that her and her husband, Dryden, has been taking part in in Saskatoon for the last two years.
Speaking with Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stacey Poss about the opportunity, it was something that they all agreed would be great for Humboldt based businesses.
“We started talking around with different business owners to see if it was something they’d be interested in and got a lot of really good feedback from that,” says Stefani.
Having an event of this caliber in Humboldt is great for anyone looking to gain leadership skills, says Dryden. The biggest thing they are looking forward to is the chance to give people that opportunity to grow.
Interested people should not be intimidated by the fact that it is a leadership workshop, says Stefani. Anyone influencing another person is in a position of leadership, says Stefani, and the event benefits all leaders from executives to those leading a sports team, she says.
The prospects of developing themselves as well as their brand was something that appealed to Dryden, saying that one fitting quote in the past year says a lot about what he wants to do for himself and his team: “You’re organization isn’t limited by opportunity, it’s limited by the leadership.”
“That’s something that spoke to me personally and us as a company. How do we continue to develop ourselves and develop the people on our team to create better leaders which will then create better opportunities for our organization.”
The workshop combines digital speaking series with the opportunity to speak with fellow workshop members about what was just watched.

Dryden says this a great opportunity not for business owners to learn from the speakers in the sessions but also learn from others around the table.
Stefani and Dryden have been working with their business, Stryde Contracting, soon to be based out of Muenster, since 2011 offering contracting, renovation, and landscaping services to the area.
