What has already been a slow year for building permits in North Battleford got a little slower in July.
Monthly numbers for July 2019 saw 10 permits issued for $802,500. While that number seems respectable on first glance, it is down significantly from the 21 permits issued for $1,699,250 in July 2018.
For the year through July, 57 permits have been issued for $2,641,200. That compares to 79 issued for $16,296,600 for the same period in 2018.
The biggest drop is being seen in the new commercial category. In 2018, four permits were issued for $11,330,550. For the same period in 2019, that category has recorded a big zero for permits and permit values in North Battleford.
The building permit statistics were presented at Monday’s meeting of city council.
