Members of North Saskatchewan River Municipal Health Holdings were advised that December was a busy month for Health Holdings clinics when they met Dec. 17.

In a press release, the board expressed appreciation to the physicians, nurse practitioners and staff who have been willing to take on the extra work required to keep all the clinics running efficiently.

Two locums will assist Health Holdings in January. Dr. Reitz will be at the clinics from Jan. 14 to 18 and Dr. Barnett from Jan. 14 to 25. Dr. Odiegwu will have completed the Saskatchewan International Assessment Physician Program program Jan. 5. The board was advised she intends to move here with her family as soon as possible in January.

Prairie North Health Region has also hired a new nurse practitioner. She will be finishing her practicum at Health Holding clinics from January to April and will be able to start her practice once her education requirements are completed.

"We are very excited about these new practitioners coming to our clinics and hope everyone will give them a warm welcome to our community," the board states.

The next regular meeting of the board is Monday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 pm in the RM of Mervin office in Turtleford.
