Construction on Caleb Village is beginning to wrap up and residents should hopefully be able to move in during the month of April when the common areas are finished and the construction crews are off-site.

Construction on Humboldt's Caleb Village is slowly coming to a close.
Darrell Remai of the Caleb Group is hoping the 94,000 square foot seniors' assisted living complex, located where the Leo Parker Arena once sat at the 900 block of Main Street, will hopefully be open for residents in April.
"We're very excited," said Remai.
The show suites will be available for viewing, by appointment only, in two to three weeks, said Remai.
Although the suites on the top two floors are close to being completed, they still need to put in the finishing touches before they are ready for the public.
"(Putting the flooring) in all the units is a major step," said Cliff Redmond, foreman on the building site.
They also have to go through the suites to make sure all the trim and other minor final touches are completed before letting the public into the suites.
Although the suites may be completed sometime in March, owners cannot move in until construction in the common areas is completed.

"It won't happen until construction (crews) are off-site," said Redmond.
"They can take possession, but they can't move in."
The common areas are coming along quickly. The elevators are operational, the laundry equipment is on-site and the kitchen is close to being complete.
"The open areas come pretty fast," said Redmond.
Construction on the project has stayed mainly on schedule, with the cold weather being the project's only road block.
During the cold weather, Redmond joked they needed to "make sure the Saskatchewan boys were doing the siding," because they could handle the cold.
Even though Redmond said the cold has slowed them down a bit, they will still be open by summer 2011.
They hope to have the landscaping finished in June and will then be able to hold a grand opening of the facility.
