Here is an update from the City of North Battleford on the Capital Works and UPAR projects for this week.
108th St. – 10th to 11th Avenue: boulevard landscaping is planned to begin this week. Asphalt milling and paving are to begin next week. The City says road closures and access disruptions will be in effect once work resumes on the roadway restoration.
St. Laurent Drive – Douglas to McKenzie King Crescent: crews will do repairs to water main valves, fire hydrants and catch basin pipes through the week, causing short-term access disruptions and road closures. Concrete repairs have been completed, and final paving work is to begin this week and extend into next week, resulting in road closures and access disruptions.
95th St. – Panton Avenue to 19th Avenue: final paving work is complete.
102nd St. – 16th to 17th Avenue: roadway restoration work has begun with construction of the structural granular courses. Concrete work is to begin this week with final paving to follow. This block is open to local traffic, but subject to closures once work resumes on the roadway. The local drinking water advisory has been lifted for the block.
106th Street – 10th to 11th Avenue: road is closed, and underground work is nearly complete. Backfilling and cleanup work is delayed a few days due to rain. If weather permits, the area will be cleaned up and backfilled this week, with street light work and roadway restoration planned for next week. The block will remain on a local drinking water advisory until further notice.
