North Battleford RCMP responded to over 70 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 20 and 6 a.m. Thursday, May 21.
Wednesday
• Several complaints received of vehicles entered and gone through from the previous night. Areas of incidents included Hamelin Street, Henderson Drive, Pearson Avenue, Thomas Avenue, 99th Street, Bennett Crescent, Hamelin Street, Clark Drive and Laurier Crescent. In all about 14 incidents were reported. Most involved vehicles entered without any damage, which had several items moved around and small amounts of change removed. Tires were slashed on two vehicles parked on the 1200 block of 102nd Street. The car thefts may involve up to four youth in their early teens. It is unknown if the perpetrators involved in damaging the tires are related.
• Complaint received at 5:37 p.m. of an assault in a parking lot at the Frontier Mall. Complainant alleging she was assaulted by another woman known to her who then left the area. No injuries reported. Matter still under investigation.
• 29-year-old woman arrested and facing charges of assault after a domestic violence incident on the 2100 block of 101st Crescent shortly before 10 p.m. Victim sustained minor injuries in the altercation.
• 36-year-old man arrested and facing charges of care and control of a vehicle while impaired and care and control while over .08 after a complaint of an intoxicated driver on Railway Avenue east shortly before 11 p.m.
Police arrested 11 people for alcohol related offences and responded to two false 911 calls, 11 traffic matters, four bylaw complaints, 11 disturbances and one Child Welfare Act complaint.
