The weather warmed up and the Battlefords RCMP were on the move answering more than 40 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 30.
Among those calls were six false/nuisance 911 calls.
Tuesday
9:14 a.m. - 911 call of two women fighting on 104th Street. Subjects located, one of whom was transported to hospital for an assessment. No charges being pursued. Neither person injured and both parties were known to each other.
11:07 a.m. - Man arrested on 101st Street for public intoxication, found sleeping on sidewalk.
11:36 a.m. - Two female youth reported missing from a youth group home, both with multiple occurrences for running away. Both remain at large. Elsie Rainey, 14, and Shailynia Stonechild 14 were both wearing black hoodies and jeans and carrying back packs. Both last seen in the town of Battleford.
12:03 p.m. - 22-year-old man arrested after a 911 call of an assault on 99th Street. Suspect was located a short distance away and arrested without incident. Suspect and victim are known to each other, and victim was not injured in the incident. The man has been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking. Assault charges are still pending at this time.
12:29 p.m. - 41-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, located by patrolling members trying to take a nap on the sidewalk. Facing charges under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.
1:07 p.m. - Theft of gasoline from a business. Suspect vehicle and license plate known.
2:26 p.m. - 48-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street.
4:28 p.m. - 45-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man arrested near 13th Avenue. Both reported to be causing a disturbance and yelling at people. Both very intoxicated and both charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.
4:58 p.m. - Theft of a bike on 1500 block of 101st Street. Possible suspect vehicle involved in theft provided, investigation ongoing.
5:52 p.m. - Two men, 48 and 40, arrested for public intoxication. The 48-year-old man was also found to have warrants out of Saskatoon and is scheduled to be remanded into custody and returned to Saskatoon to face charges there.
6:06 p.m. - Two intoxicated and no longer wanted guests at a home on 111th Street. Both males left voluntarily and no more issues reported.
6:16 p.m. - 47-year-old woman arrested after complaint of intoxicated person sleeping in a back alley. Found to be on conditions to abstain from alcohol and charged with one count of failing to comply.
6:45 p.m. - Call of several unwanted, intoxicated persons at a residence on 110th Street. Most left when police called, one was located a short distance away and arrested for public intoxication.
6:47 p.m. - 911 call received from a residence, caller upset because someone was at her house, had brought food and wanted to make dinner. The Unappreciated Gourmet was located a short distance away, quite intoxicated, and arrested and held in custody until sober.
8:23 p.m. - 43-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, found staggering into traffic on Highway 16 bypass.
9:43 p.m. - 65-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street and facing charge under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act, found very intoxicated and staggering into traffic.
10:02 p.m. - Man thought it would be romantic to get really drunk and climb up his girlfriend's balcony to talk to her and break some of her things. She didn't think so. Man apprehended and taken to a sober relative's residence to keep the peace. No charges wished to be pursued.
11:47 p.m. - Two males reported to have been victims of assault on 14th Avenue. Both were very intoxicated and reported having been sprayed by what was believed to be bear spray by unknown person(s). Both transported to hospital for treatment. Both later started causing a scene at the hospital due to their levels of intoxication and were arrested and transported to cells. Investigation is ongoing.
Wednesday
3:51 a.m. - Caller calling 911 to get the address on any gas stations between North Battleford and Lloydminster.
5:31 a.m. - 32-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, causing a scene on 107th Street. First claimed he'd been shot. Not injured or shot, just really intoxicated. Also facing charges under Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.
