RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 and 6 a.m. Thursday, June 25.
Wednesday
• Report of a hit and run at 8:41 a.m. near a residence on the Red Pheasant First Nation. Suspect has been identified in this matter and investigation is ongoing.
• Report made at 10:55 a.m. of windows to a grader left parked on Highway 40 west of Battleford damaged.
• 911 call made to a residence on the Red Pheasant First Nation, reporting a assault at 2:30 p.m. A 20-year-old man was arrested and has been charged for one count of assault. The accused has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court July 20.
• A 29-year-old man was arrested in Battleford at 4 p.m. and is now charged with one count of breach of undertaking, found to be in violation of a no contact order from a previous matter. The accused was later released from custody and is set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court July 2.
• A 20-year-old man has been charged for making false 911 calls after a 911 call was made at 6:02 p.m. Accused was upset about being kicked out of a residence in the city and so made a false 911 report of a suicidal woman.
Police arrested three persons for alcohol related offences, and responded to seven traffic complaints, two alarms, six disturbances, one collision, two bylaw matters and one reported missing person who was later located.
