An additional arrest has been made in the recent child porn sweep by the Saskatchewan ICE Unit, and this time the suspect is from North Battleford.
Arrested was Edward Andy Kahsokeo, 37, who is charged with accessing child pornography, possession of child pornography, and making available child pornography.
He was arrested after members of the ICE, or Sask. Internet Child Exploitation Unit, with assistance from Battlefords RCMP detachment members, executed a search warrant in North Battleford on Friday, June 20.
This case was part of the Operation Snapshot III investigation in which 11 other arrests have been made across the province. Snapshot III ran from February to late May of this year.
Kahsokeo is to appear in provincial court in North Battleford on August 11.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit includes investigators from the R.C.M.P., and from Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert Police Service.Its mandate is to investigate crimes involving abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
