Cigarettes worth $12,000 stolen

More than 1,000 packages of cigarettes, valued at about $12,000, was stolen after someone broke into a convenience store at about 3 a.m. Monday, according to Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP.

More than 1,000 packages of cigarettes, valued at about $12,000, was stolen after someone broke into a convenience store at about 3 a.m. Monday, according to Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP.


Police say a crowbar was used to break the glass door that is the main entrance to the store.


The perpetrator is described as a heavier set man who was wearing grey sweatpants, a black or dark coloured sweater, a camouflage hat and white gloves. He was driving what appeared to be a mid-2000s white four-door pickup truck.
