Humboldt's city manager, James Moller, submitted his resignation to City of Humboldt council members on Nov. 25.
Mayor Eaton, on behalf of the City of Humboldt, thanked Moller for all his efforts and wished him well in his new endeavor as chief administrative officer for the City of Colwood. Mr. Moller was appointed as City Manager for the City of Humboldt in October 2010.
"After three short years, I can honestly say that Humboldt has become a home to my family and will always remain in our hearts. The community embraced us upon our arrival and continues to be supportive of me in my new role," Moller stated. "I have enjoyed the challenges of working for the city and have always appreciated the respectful working relationship I have had with the mayor and council. It has been a privilege leading and working with such a dedicated staff and I am comfortable that city administration and operations are in very capable hands."
"James's leadership has helped the city evolve professionally," said Mayor Malcolm Eaton. "His insight will be missed and we wish him and his family all the best for the future."
Moller's employment with the City of Humboldt will end in February 2014.
