The intersection of Territorial Drive just north of 8th Avenue was the scene of a head-on collision on a snow-filled Sunday afternoon in North Battleford.
The incident took place around 3 p.m. Sunday, according to a media report from North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services. Four occupants were removed from the two vehicles involved in the collision, and they were transported with unknown injuries to Battlefords Union Hospital.
On the scene for close to an hour were North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services, RCMP, EMS, City bylaw, and the North Battleford Public Works department.
Territorial Drive from 8th to 13th Avenue was blocked off and traffic rerouted until the area was cleaned up. Road conditions were described as icy at the time, according to NBFES.
According to NBFES, two apparatus and four personnel were on the scene from their department. Also, City works was called in to sand the road, and city bylaw enforcement was called to assist the RCMP in rerouting the traffic.
