Here is an update from the City of North Battleford on the capital works projects happening in the community:
17th Avenue – 105th to 107th Street: Underground pipe replacement work is complete. Roadway reconstruction to begin this week and continue for approximately two weeks.
105th Street – 11th to 12th Avenue, and 12th Avenue - 104th to 105th Street: Underground pipe work will begin along 105th Street and go for approximately four weeks. Concrete repairs along 12th Avenue between 104th and 105th Street are also expected to start this week. Water service disruptions, drinking water advisories and road closures will be in effect in the area. Roadway reconstruction is slated for the following weeks.
101st Street – 11th to 12th Avenue, and 12th Avenue – 100th Street to 101st Street: Underground pipe replacement work is scheduled to begin June 19 along 101st street and commence for approximately three weeks. Underground pipe replacement work is scheduled to begin July 12 along 12th Avenue, proceeding for approximately two weeks. Street reconstruction will begin once the underground work has been completed and will proceed for a further approximately four weeks. Drinking water advisories and road closures will be in effect in the area. Access to businesses from 101st Street and 12th Avenue will be closed for the duration of the project.
This work will impede access to businesses in the area, however businesses will still be open and operational. Contact the business you plan to visit to identify the best alternative access.
At times accesses to businesses may be restricted, businesses will remain open. Access businesses in the area through alleyways.
Underground pipe replacement work is planned to begin on 12th Avenue between 100th Street and 102nd Street on July 17 and proceed for approximately three weeks, with roadway reconstruction work to follow.
97th Street – 13th to 15th Avenue: Underground pipe replacement work is scheduled to begin July 10, lasting for approximately six weeks. Road closures and drinking water advisories will be in effect. Roadway re-construction will follow completion of the underground work and will proceed for another three weeks.
99th Street – 12th to 13th Avenue: Underground pipe replacement work is scheduled to begin Aug. 14, lasting for approximately three weeks. Road closures and drinking water advisories will be in effect. Roadway re-construction will follow completion of the underground work.
Killdeer Park Development: Roadways Construction is scheduled to begin June 26.
Civic Centre Parking Lot: Reconstruction of the North Parking Lot behind the Civic Centre is underway, and will continue for the remainder of the week. The area will be closed until the project is complete.
Centennial Park Pathway Paving: Pathway paving work in Centennial Park is underway and will continue this week.
