RM OF LEROY — Copper wire was stolen from a power pole at a rural location somewhere in the RM of LeRoy.
Humboldt RCMP said in a release Sept. 8 they were investigating the crime.
“This type of theft poses a significant safety concern. Since the meter is no longer grounded there is concern that the area around the power pole can become energized and electrocution is possible,” the police said. “There is also a risk of fire from this type of theft.”
