Here are some of the other items that were on the agenda of Monday's council meeting in North Battleford.

City council has approved the appeal of a demolition order of property at 842 - 06th St. The house, pictures of which were distributed at council, was in poor shape. However, the purchaser of the property, Anand George, has pledged to restore the property and pay the back taxes.

Councillor Grace Lang asked whether a meeting with representatives from the Knights of Columbus had taken place over concerns by neighbours about noise from certain events held at the facility. Fire Chief Pat MacIsaac responded the meeting did take place including special constable Ross MacAngus and RCMP Staff Sergeant Phil Wilson, where the issue was discussed. MacIsaac said the Knights of Columbus expressed their desire to be good neighbours and options were discussed.

City Building Inspector Jerry Wintonyk presented two building plans. One was for the middle section of Living Sky School Division's Central Office building at 509 Pioneer Ave., for 13,831 square feet valued at $1,125,000.

As well, a six-unit condo project by Lehman Construction and Design at 2419 Henderson Drive was presented. It was valued at $1,270,000.

In new business, council gave its support for a new budget to transition from the Battlefords Tourism Association to the Greater Battlefords Marketing Alliance, based on a cost share funding agreement between the City and the Town of Battleford at 70 per cent/30 per cent each.

Council denied a request for an inner city residential development incentive and rental development incentive at 1091 - 103rd St.

A request was approved for the City to cover the costs of water and sewer connections at 1401 - 101st St. for a commercial office development.

Finally, council passed a bylaw in three readings to undertake a local improvement on 19th Avenue from 93rd Street to 97th Street at an estimated cost of $134,279.75.
