HUMBOLDT — Council has voted in favour of allowing a daycare at The Elizabeth Retirement Community.
Little Lizzy’s Intergenerational Learning Centre has been approved for funding by the province for 21 infant, toddler and preschool spaces.
There will be 102 square metres of space for the daycare, plus almost 150 square metres out outdoor play space.
“There's also a need for more daycares and this is sort of a new approach to it, is combining it with a seniors’ living facility as well. they're looking at more intergenerational activities between the two groups,” Muench said.
