NIPAWIN — Ismael Aliguyon has resigned from Nipawin council.
“It’s a very sad day for me and a very difficult decision,” Aliguyon wrote to the council in a letter read at Oct. 11’s council meeting. “After considerable thought it is my sincere regret. The biggest factor for my decision is the time commitment with the nature of my full time job. I’m on the road and away from home sometimes and this makes me think that carrying out duties as a councillor set aside at times thus these instances I felt it wasn’t fair to other councillors.”
The byelection for a new councillor is scheduled to take place on April 3.
Cannabis store
