Every small town has a place where locals like to go to visit, relax and eat. Hafford is no exception.

Alex and Margaret Komarnicki have returned to the community of Hafford after 16 years to operate the K-Bar Inn. Taking possession in July, and after completing some renovations, the business was re-opened Sept. long weekend.

New carpet and cedar panels in the 91-seat capacity licensed lounge create a new look to the country-style tavern. The exterior walls and veranda were refreshed with paint and entice visitors to enjoy a nostalgic experience. Guests can enjoy refreshments on-site from a selection of beverages or choose to purchase chilled off-sale. Staff can prepare snacks and finger foods such as pizza, chicken wings, French fries, onion rings, burgers and chicken nuggets to satisfy in-house appetites or take-out orders.

K-Bar Inn lounge has a pool table and touch tunes jukebox as well as a television to broadcast sports events. Soon new VLT machines will be introduced to the facility.

K-Bar Inn also offers overnight accommodations for travelers, tourists or visitors attending family or special occasion events. There are 10 double bed non- smoking rooms within the facility.

Komarnicki admits that returning to Hafford feels like coming home and he invites everyone to the grand re-opening Saturday, Oct. 1. Live musical entertainment will fill the lounge with toe-tapping tunes as customers enjoy socializing and dancing.

From established residents to tourists and guests, K-Bar Inn is the place to visit, to either book a room after a day of travels or to enjoy refreshments in a casual friendly atmosphere.
