COVID-19 case diagnosed at St. Augustine School

HUMBOLDT — Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools has been informed of a positive COVID-19 case in an individual at Humboldt’s St. Augustine School.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority informed the division about the case May 12.

“Both cases are being investigated as a variant of concern. We are working with Public Health to notify parents and caregivers,” said the school division. “The Saskatchewan Health Authority is recommending that all close contacts get tested. Risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact remains low.”

The division said the affected classes will switch to online learning.

To protect privacy of individuals, the division said it is not able to share or discuss details.
