The Battlefords Humane Society is having to adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
In a post on their Facebook page they report that due to the continuing COVID-19 concerns they will be limiting access to the animal shelter for the protection of staff and the public. Access will be limited to adoption clients, intake customers and scheduled volunteers. Anyone with any questions is encouraged to contact the shelter.
Those interested in adopting a pet are urged to consider it, with the humane society noting pets can provide a great comfort to those under quarantine or stress.
As well, the Humane Society has announced they are cancelling their Easter Bake Sale. They have also postponed their fundraising dinner and auction scheduled for April 25 until further notice.
