WPD Ambulance has officially launched their annual Cram Our Ambulance campaign for 2013.

Starting Dec. 2, WPD along with the Battlefords and District Food and Resource Centre Empty Stocking Fund, began setting up bins at local businesses in the Battlefords to collect toys.

The final pick up of toys is slated to happen at Canadian Tire Friday, Dec. 20. The toys will be presented to Battlefords and District Food and Resource Centre and distributed in the Christmas hampers for those less fortunate in the area.

The campaign has run since 2005 in the Battlefords and a number of businesses are taking part - Walmart, CJNB, Territorial Mall, Battlefords and District Co-op, Sobeys, SNAP Fitness, Boston Pizza, Canadian Tire and Scotiabank.

The campaign has been successful in the past, with WPD needing multiple ambulances to collect the toys distributed.

WPD is encouraging all members of the public to join in the campaign and "help light up the faces of many children in the Battlefords area" this Christmas season.
