Innovation Credit Union has announced a $2,500 sponsorship of the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club that will go towards providing children with an extra meal per week.
The Innovation Grub Club will take place every Wednesday evening from Sept. 2 to Dec. 16 (excluding Remembrance Day) at the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club facility. With the addition of Wednesdays, the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club will now be able to provide meals three days a week to children.
"I am beyond excited and proud to offer the children and youth in our community an additional meal per week by extending our existing Supper Program,” expresses Battlefords Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Nicole Combres. “Thanks to the support and sponsorship of Innovation Credit Union, we are now able to provide our children three nutritious meals each week. We couldn’t have done it without their help! This has also allowed us to adjust our main site club hours and remain accessible to our community consecutively till 9 p.m. each evening Monday through Friday. I sincerely appreciate the support already given and look forward to our continual partnership.”
