The sexual assault charge against Harry Michael Dekker has been adjourned to May 21.

That is the date when the matter will return to provincial court in Saskatoon after a month-long adjournment was granted Thursday morning.

The charge against Dekker, which stems from an alleged incident last fall on Highway 16, has largely been at a standstill since it came to court in January. Since then there have been numerous adjournments and a plea has yet to be entered.

The matter came up again before Judge Lloyd Deshaye in provincial court Thursday in Saskatoon. This time, Dekker's defence lawyer, Mark Brayford, informed the judge he had been in a lengthy meeting the previous day with the Crown to discuss the case.

Brayford requested and was granted an adjournment to May 21. As well, a waiver of delay was agreed to.
