The sexual assault case against Harry Michael Dekker remains in mediation for at least the next several weeks.

The case came up again in provincial court in Saskatoon Tuesday morning.

Defence lawyer Mark Brayford indicated in the mediation was expected to go on for another "four to six weeks."

A return date is set for March 24, one month from now, again in provincial court in Saskatoon.

The allegations in the Dekker case date back to the fall of 2012, with one count of sexual assault laid by RCMP following an alleged incident on Highway 16. A publication ban on the evidence in the case has been in effect since last summer.

The case had been before the courts on various occasions during the past year. Following discussions between the prosecution and defence, a mediator was brought in and the mediation process has gone on for the past several months.

Counsel has returned to court from time to time during the fall and winter months to update the court on where it stands. The case is described as a "serious case management" mediation.

As has been the case in previous recent court appearances, the mediator as well as Crown and defence lawyers were the only ones present in court Tuesday.
