Tuesday, the RBC Foundation gave its annual $3,000 donation. The donation will go to the United Way general fund, from which it will be distributed to different programs.
Wednesday, the United Way received its annual donation from Staples of $1,200 of school supplies. The supplies were then distributed by Zielke and Faye Schlemmer, Staples general manager, to classrooms in Connaught, McKitrick, and St. Mary schools.
"I'm really, really pleased that Staples is able to help with this aspect of community engagement," explained Zielke.
