It was a quick and easy fundraiser that saw big dollars brought in for local organizations.

The Drive 4 UR Community fundraisers through Humboldt Discovery Ford  saw $19,760 raised for six different organizations; Team Mexico out of Lake Lenore with $3,120, Humboldt Co-operative Daycare Centre with $2,220, St. Dominic School with $4,720, Muenster School Community Playground with $4,640, the Lanigan and District Waterpark Committee with $2,820, and the First Westminister Scouts with $2,240.

Kara Braitenbach with Discovery Ford says that these fundraisers are so easy to do with no cost to any participants out of their own pockets.

“All they need to do is test drive a vehicle so it’s easy...Ford Canada pays that $20.”

It only takes a half an hour, says Braitenbach, and made the school or organization $20 within that time.

Ford Canada will be starting the application process for next years Drive 4 UR events in January and anyone interested can call Braitenbach around that time.
