Driver arrested on suspicion of drug impairment

North Battleford RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 16.

Among those calls were one false/nuiscance 911 call, five traffic complaints/occurrences, two false alarms and four municipal bylaw/noise complaints.

Tuesday

10:52 a.m. - Call of two guests at a hotel causing issues. One man arrested on outstanding warrants and since released. Second 19-year-old man found to be in violation of conditions to abstain from alcohol and drugs, arrested and charged.

4:52 p.m. - Fraud related to a cheque reported, suspect accused of modifying amount payable.

6:18 p.m. - 44-year-old man arrested and charged with failing to comply with undertaking, found very intoxicated by members on 101st Street.

6:21 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person walking into traffic on north end of city. Subject not located.

7:22 p.m. - Report of a youth with a colourful beanie on his head running through back alleys on 108th Street, chasing after two other boys and carrying something in his hand. Second call of that now boys are in a different yard and now have sticks and there is sounds of loud fighting. Nothing located in area. Several persons in area spoken to did not see or hear anything.

8:00 p.m. - Front counter complaint of uttering threats. All parties involved known to each other. Investigation ongoing.

8:54 p.m. - 17-year-old female reported missing since previous day by her mother. Police phoned the youth's phone and spoke to her and she advised where she was and that she had just spoken to her mother on the phone several minutes earlier. This was confirmed with complainant.

10:11 p.m. - Report of ongoing problems with harassment.

10:56 p.m. - 20-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication on 113th Street.

11:40 p.m. - Vehicle stop on Highway 16 Bypass. Driver arrested on suspicion of Impairment by drugs. Investigation ongoing.

Wednesday

4:44 a.m. - Members called to a business on Territorial North. Person in parking lot who appeared to have been assaulted. Very intoxicated woman located on scene, another call also received of same person causing a disturbance at a home. Subject arrested for public intoxication and investigation ongoing.
